According to bevreview.com, PepsiCo will be introducing the cane sugar-sweetened versions of Pepsi and Mountain Dew beginning in April. This is the same type found in Mexico or during Jewish Passover using real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Reports say it has a cleaner taste and aftertaste and the fizz lasts longer.
To distinguish them from the normal HFCS-sweetened varieties, they’ll be named Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback with an appropriately-styled vintage logo.
If you’ve been waiting for this, you better stock up. A PepsiCo rep has stated they will only be available until June 13.
