Old stuff but I think this New York magazine cover from December 2008 is a great homage to Milton Glazer’s I Heart NY logo. It references Glazer’s genius work in imagery and words without being a cheesy derivative. It’s a great photograph that stands on its own as a cover but if you get the allusion, it works on a deeper level. Kudos to the creative team at New York magazine. (via magculture.com)
