Google just announced that the entire LIFE magazine photo archive going back to the 1750s will be digitized and made available through Image Search, nearly 10 million images. Best part of it all, is you can purchase prints of any image in the archive.

What a wonderful year for photography lovers this year has been. Hard to believe they were few comprehensive digitized historical image collections available less than a year ago. Now the Library of Congress’ archives are available through The Commons with Flickr and then this partnership with LIFE.
