Cedar sake cups and bottle set designed by Shunji Kurimori.

These are made in the 400-year old traditional magewappa technique. Perfectly straight narrow-grain 100-year old cedar wood is thinly shaved, boiled, and repeatedly bent to form the shape. The pieces are fastened with slices of cherry blossom bark.

The finished pieces are extremely lightweight and have faint natural aroma that compliments Japanese food and drink.
