Max and Wild Thing Halloween Costume

Here are Max and Wild Thing from the Maurice Sendak’s kid’s book “Where the Wild Things Are,” one of our favorites!

Max is wearing his wolf suit (the one that gets him into mischief!) that is made of cuddly polar fleece and felt and zips up the front. Max’s wolf suit comes complete with his golden, fur-trimmed crown (for when he is crowned “King of all Wild Things”!). Max’s hands can tuck warmly inside his felt-clawed paws (mittens), or tuck out, for easier trick-or-treating.

The Wild Thing’s mask is made of papier mache, glittery hairy fabric, and paint with multiple openings (hidden in between all of the teeth, in the nostrils, and all around the head, hidden by the hair) …all the better to see you with my dear! Oh, and to breathe through, too.
