Hand painted raw canvas ties by Partners & Spade.

I’d prefer the white with blue dots to be reversed but still very nice.

"Master of Play" (Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario) -

The New Yorker profiles Shigeru Miyamoto, the man behind Mario, and a person whom I consider “a pure creator”.

“By one estimate, […] creating Wikipedia took eight years and 100 million hours of work, but that’s only half the number of hours spent in a single week by people playing World of Warcraft.” — Dr. Jane McGonigal, game designer and researcher at the Institute for the Future in the NY Times article “On a Hunt for What Makes Gamers Keep Gaming”

Perfect little “chef medallion” adhesive labels with custom illustrations text that you can stick to your jars, tins, and gifts from your kitchen. I’m quite fond of the tomatoes on the vine, stone crab, and watermelon slice.

$25, 20 in a pack, 1.25” in diameter.

Haha, these camera lens bracelets by Photojojo are great. Great detail on the AF/MF switch, focusing marks, and gripping ridges. At the right size, they could also be a nice for additional grip wrapped around a lens.

$10. Available in 50mm and 24-70mm.

The Plumen designer CFL bulbs are a reality and available for sale in the UK and Europe. Back when they were just prototypes, they were already added to the permanent design collection at MoMA and the V&A Museum.

The bulbs were designed by Hulger, the manufacturer of those retro phones for use with cellphones and VOIP.
